When you are in a situation and you don’t know what to do, you need to be able to hear the still, small voice of God. 

One of my prayers is this: “Lord, let me hear You at the slightest whisper at the door of my heart.” I’ve been praying that prayer for many years. It is highly important to be able to hear God at the slightest whisper of His Voice. It is for the saving of lives, to thwart the plans of the enemy, and to change destinies. 

God still speaks. He speaks to us however He knows He can get our attention….He speaks to us through dreams, visions, through His Word, through other people and by His still, small voice. God sent His Holy Spirit to help us here on earth.

Remember the account of Elijah in the Bible. God brought Elijah out of the cave and told him to stand on the mountain (see 1 Kings 19:9-12). While Elijah stood there in obedience to God, a mighty wind came, then an earthquake, then a fire and God was not in any of those. Finally…there was a still, small voice….the Voice of God. Trust God…even when you don’t understand. God will reveal the answers to the things you don’t know in time. Refuse to back off of the Word of God. God does not lie. He always honors His Word. He cannot lie…He is God. God will reveal the answers at the right time. 

God is at work behind the scenes on your behalf. Miracles are being set in motion in the waiting. Take time to hear the still, small voice of God–His whisper.

“And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left” (Isaiah 30:21). 

It’s important to heed warnings from God. It’s like driving your car down the road, seeing a sign that says “Detour,” “One Way,” “Curve Ahead,” and heeding the signs to avoid getting into an unsafe situation. It’s the same in our walk with God. 

God sends signs and warnings along our path in life as well. If you will heed the warnings, you will be able to safely remain on course. Always follow peace in your heart and you will be going in the right direction. 

Always listen to God—obey the leading of His Holy Spirit. Only God can be counted on to never fail you. If you have failed to heed a warning or several from God, there is still hope. Take time to read 1 John 1:9. 

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

When trouble starts in life, too often people listen to the wrong people—the naysayers. Don’t listen to the “What if’s” from other people. Keep your trust in God, your focus on Him, and seek the LORD for His direction…even in the midst of difficult circumstances. Don’t react—stay calm—stay in peace—and wait on the Lord. Trust Him! 

“As for you, be calm and cool and steady” (1 Timothy 4:5). 

With God, all things are possible. In 2012, the LORD allowed me to see the stop sign above on the corner of Vail Avenue and Randolph Road in Charlotte. It was in a time of great need–my husband was in the hospital at Mercy. God raised him from death, healed him from two strokes, and walked with us through his two open heart surgeries. God was faithful then and He is still faithful today. You may be worried, stressed out, angry, depressed, or just flat not realize what is going on. You may be caught up in complaining and murmuring due to watching too much media. You may be living life on top of the world in a manmade bubble and not be concerned at all, but the person with his or her eyes open recognizes something is changing drastically. 

With all the floods, fire, and destruction that has happened across America, we must know and understand the warnings. Are we living in the last of the last days that the Bible warns us about? The Scriptures teach that there will be an end to human history as we know it. It will not be the end of the world, but the end of the world system as we know it. 

I find it interesting that the recent hurricane named IRMA means “world.” Could it be that we witnessed a storm against the world system that is dominated by evil as a natural manifestation? I believe so. God is sending warning after warning, confirmation after confirmation, for people to be prepared for eternity. 

We live in a world that operates with the laws of nature. If you fall off a bicycle, you will hit the ground. If you jump off a building, you will most likely kill yourself. The law of gravity is in operation. Hurricanes, and earthquakes occur with the natural release of pent-up energy, as well as fault lines being in the earth for movement. It is not wisdom to build a house on a fault line no more than it is wisdom to build a development in a flood plain. One may end up in a heap of ashes, while the other will eventually be flooded over time. 

We live in a fallen world because of sin—the fall of mankind in the Garden of Eden. God sent His Son Jesus to redeem all mankind. He came as a baby, but He is coming back as the KING of kings and LORD of lords…where His Kingdom will reign forevermore. 

The Bible teaches that Satan is “the prince of this world” (John 12:31) and, “the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient” (Ephesians 2:2). Satan knows his time is short and he is in constant conflict with God while pursuing his deadly plan. The war in the heavens that is happening is manifesting on earth in storms, wars and rumors of wars, and multiplied destructions. 

We all need God. Without Him, there is no hope for humanity. The enemy was defeated on the Cross at Calvary, but as believers, we must stand up and use our God-given authority and influence in the earth. 

The Bible warns us of changing times and easily discernible signs that will occur at the end of the age. Jesus said in Matthew 24 that there would be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes, but He also said that these would only be the beginning. Jesus said that people “will betray and hurt each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (Matthew 24:10-12). 

Jesus added: “This gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14). 

Because of increased technology, this is a very real possibility of reaching the whole world before the end of this century.
