People prepare for weddings, funerals, the arrival of a new baby, college, events, vacation, interviews for a new position, etc., but nobody prepares for cancer. It hits the newborn baby, the toddler, the child, teenager, your sibling, your best friend, adults and elderly. Then, all of a sudden, every moment becomes precious in life. Life is cut short—and people are left with the pain and heartache from that last wrong word, the loss of a loved one, and the emptiness that is left behind long after the funeral. Some are left with fond memories they have built together and peace if they know the person is in Heaven with God through salvation. 

Grief is a process—and we must walk through it with God and loved ones. The worst thing any of us can do is to isolate ourselves. That’s where the enemy has a field day with the mind…and will attack in all kinds of ways. It is imperative to renew the mind in God’s Word and pray in order to recognize the lies of the enemy. 

People prepare in great detail for the wedding day—so that every single thing is handled. From properly addressed invitations, to rehearsal dinners, flowers, venue arrangements, to cakes and dresses, “Thank You” notes, etc., —but nobody prepares for affairs, adultery, separation and divorce that destroys whole families. 

People plan to build a family. While some couples can’t have children—they choose to adopt. People don’t plan to destroy their own family. I don’t believe for one moment that anyone in their right mind prepares to bring about destruction on purpose.

Sex was created by God for man. He created us to be fruitful and to multiply. God loves family. 

Satan twists, thwarts, and threatens all mankind with his lies because he knows his time is short. He cannot create—so he imitates and thwarts to bring about death, despair, discord, disease, division, and destruction—through wrong soul ties. He is the author of confusion! 

We live in a time where there is a war on the Truth. Truth always outweighs fact. In the end, Truth—the Word of God—will stand. Lies, deception, wars of words, and corruption in media is at an all-time high BUT GOD’S WORD STANDS FOREVER. He reveals all hidden truth. The Bible says, “The Holy Spirit reveals all hidden truth and shows us things to come.” God said it—that settles it! 

People have hopes and dreams and plans. God is good. He does good and wants to do good. He is a good Father. He gave us His Son Jesus and His Word to guide us through this life, and to prepare us here on earth for eternity. God has a good plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). He says, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). The Lord wants us, His creation, to seek Him. He is not hiding out—but we only treasure what we seek. Treasure your destiny enough to step out of drama (devil racing after my assignment). Treasure family and friends. Life is not promised for tomorrow. You only get one life here—so live it pleasing God and glorifying Him by your actions! 

Family doesn’t simply matter—it is all that matters. There is one family you must make sure you are in before it’s too late—that’s the FAMILY OF GOD. If you are breathing, it is not too late to call upon the Name of JESUS! Jesus is interceding for us that our faith will not fail. While He is interceding for us, we are given the gift of prayer and power in prayer. 

Use your God-given authority today to decree and declare God’s Word—His Promises—over your life. Speak life over your family, friends, and bless your enemies. For if they knew the gift of God, if they knew they were blinded by sin, if they knew that all that matters is family and eternity, they would turn from their sin and repent. May I ask you this question: Have you prepared for eternity? Choose to walk in the light! 

Pray with me that the eyes of all lost and hurting family, friends, and enemies would be opened and hearts healed NOW IN JESUS’ NAME—let there be light. May the eyes of their understanding be enlightened. Let today be the day of salvation. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. Now, take time to praise HIM!

Who do you love? Who do you live to please? Who is on your mind when you wake up each morning? 

Be a God-pleaser! God gave His Son Jesus because of His great love for all mankind. We must be so in love with Jesus that we want all to know Him too. Love your family and friends enough to tell them the Truth of God’s Word. God will not change His Word for anyone. Jesus is coming back–and we can’t live any old way we like. 

In John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.” (NIV). 

People may abandon you, many will criticize you, disconnect from you, and run from God when you tell them the Truth–OR they will fall in love with Jesus. People may criticize you and make fun of you because of your relationship with Jesus–but remember, in the end…it will be worth it all. 

Truth will offend some people. God’s Word and His Truth can be understood by the world around us and in practical ways. Many people deny spiritual truth because it seems easier, but doing things the wrong way still brings about delayed consequences. 

People want everything right now—rather than doing life God’s way. Do you get so mad when an elevator is full—that you choose to go the roof and jump to your death on the street? I don’t think so. You might choose to take the stairs—all seventeen flights—and be worn out at the bottom. Huffing and puffing like a blow fish. People have grown impatient with waiting for anything. Look at what God’s Word says in Isaiah 40:31: 

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” 

As Christians, we cannot ignore God’s Word…because it may be unpopular or cause division. When a person is confronted with truth, he or she will do one of two things—respond or react. The heart that is tender to God will respond. The tender heart is moved to tears and compassion and obedience. The tough heart may throw a temper-tantrum, a pity-party, disconnect, and deny the Truth. The heart that is tough, bitter, unforgiving, angry and rebellious will react.

We must love people enough to speak the Truth in love—no matter what. Eternity is forever. This life is passing away. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 24:10-12: “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and hate one another” (KJV). 

Jesus said, “Blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in Me” (Matthew 11:6).

“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:12-14). 

Take time to read all of Matthew 24. Remember, even Truth presented in love will offend some people. We must love people enough to offer them everlasting life in Jesus Christ!

REBELLION and LIVING UNDER THE LAW

Living under the law leads to lust. Lust leads to reasoning and reasoning leads to flat out

rebellion. People believe their reasoning is acceptable to God because they are actually

deceived and in rebellion. The door is open for Satan to steal from them. 

One passage you can refer to is the account of Adam and Eve in the Garden when Satan

tempted Eve to disobey God. 

Eve resorted to reasoning in the Garden of Eden and questioned the goodness of God.

Adam rebelled against God’s instruction and Eve was deceived by Satan.

Rebellious people view God’s Word as a restraining law rather than as protection in life.

Why would someone choose to willfully disobey God’s Will? His Will is His Word. That is

an extremely important question–one that reveals the motive of a person’s heart.

If you have ever played the game MONOPOLY, you know you can see the entire board 

before you make a move. Think about this for a moment. Life is much like a MONOPOLY 

Board–but one where GOD can see everything. He knows what is best and what is 

around every turn. Choose to trust Him. He desires the best for His children.

Take a look at the following passage: “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is

the law” (1 Corinthians 15:56). Sin receives strength from the law. The law actually has

the power to arouse the desire to rebel because rebellion receives strength from the law. 

Let me explain. Let’s talk about driving the speed limit. Without the law there can be no

rebellion. If you are driving 80 mph in a 55 and keep going onward, eventually you will get

a ticket. If you are distracted, perhaps by talking on the phone, you may realize you are 

speeding without knowing it. Therein lies the difference. One is intentional and one is

due to distraction and not paying attention. 

Either way, the law is being broken. But look at the difference in the motivation of the 

heart. On another note, if you are feeling pressured to obey some religious tradition or 

requirements in order to remain under God’s grace and blessing, you are under the law. Ask

yourself this question, “Do I actually obey God due to fear of consequences, or do I obey

because I don’t want to displease the Heavenly Father?” Grace causes you to want to obey

God because you love Him. What is the motivation of your heart?
