DO YOU WANT TO GENUINELY CONNECT?

Written by Deborah. Posted in Uncategorized

Do you want to have real relationships that are not fake? That last beyond seasons, that bring people standing with you in the good times and the bad? The kind that are standing with you at the bedside when a loved one has cancer, the ones that are walking with you through a season of pain, the birth of a new child or grandchild, and the family birthday parties, to funerals and times of refreshing? The enemy of our souls has attacked families and relationships since the beginning of time as we know it. If we want to live in real relationships–we have to return to God’s ways and use His Word as our plumb line.

The only way we come to the Father God is through the Son Jesus Christ–through being born-again, a real heart transformation–not just knowing about God–but a real relationship with Him through spending time in His Presence.

There are some conversations that cannot be sent via text or on social media. The only way to have genuine connections with people is to sit face-to-face with each other and listen with your heart (without trying to figure out what you are going to say in response) and take time to talk to each other.

Satan wants to be God. He imitates and counterfeits. Satan hates God and he hates believers. He speaks against the Most High and wears out the Saints. (Daniel 7:25 Take time to read the entire chapter). Satan knows his time is short and he wants to take as many with him as he can to hell. Don’t miss heaven by 18 inches–the distance between the head and the heart. The text that must be our plumb line is the Word of God–not what people see on all forms of social media. We must be born-again!

With a nation torn apart at the seams, we can be the change in our sphere of influence. We can return to the “ancient path”…return to God in repentance and genuinely connect with Him and people. We can take time to show we care. While there is still time, we must repent and return to God.

If you have gotten too busy with life, hectic schedules, or maybe in a season of pleasure and comfort, and lost the art of genuine conversation with people that used to matter to you, there is a heart problem. Heart problems can lead to death. Pull back and take a good look at your own life today. We will all stand before God and give account for how we live. We can’t worship God and mistreat people at the same time.  I pray the Holy Spirit comforts you right now, convicts you of any sin, and leads you in the right path of genuine heart connection and transformation. Without transformed hearts–there is no repentance or genuine connection with God.

Make sure you are genuinely connected!

HIS love and mine,

Deborah

"Deborah imparted the tools, skills and understanding I needed to grow in the spirit. In this day's devotional, God also spoke to me of the hard lessons we all need to learn when "He" or your "Mentor" (such as Deborah) in my case, speaks into our life that we must choose to grow...

"...As a result of obedience in the midst of her desert experiences, I believe God has filled Deborah with wisdom that we would all do well to take to heart. Do you ever ask yourself why you seem to end up in the same situation over and over again? Why you fear the future, or are frustrated with relationships?...."
