Who do you love? Who do you live to please? Who is on your mind when you wake up each morning? 

Be a God-pleaser! God gave His Son Jesus because of His great love for all mankind. We must be so in love with Jesus that we want all to know Him too. Love your family and friends enough to tell them the Truth of God’s Word. God will not change His Word for anyone. Jesus is coming back–and we can’t live any old way we like. 

In John 14:23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.” (NIV). 

People may abandon you, many will criticize you, disconnect from you, and run from God when you tell them the Truth–OR they will fall in love with Jesus. People may criticize you and make fun of you because of your relationship with Jesus–but remember, in the end…it will be worth it all. 

Truth will offend some people. God’s Word and His Truth can be understood by the world around us and in practical ways. Many people deny spiritual truth because it seems easier, but doing things the wrong way still brings about delayed consequences. 

People want everything right now—rather than doing life God’s way. Do you get so mad when an elevator is full—that you choose to go the roof and jump to your death on the street? I don’t think so. You might choose to take the stairs—all seventeen flights—and be worn out at the bottom. Huffing and puffing like a blow fish. People have grown impatient with waiting for anything. Look at what God’s Word says in Isaiah 40:31: 

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” 

As Christians, we cannot ignore God’s Word…because it may be unpopular or cause division. When a person is confronted with truth, he or she will do one of two things—respond or react. The heart that is tender to God will respond. The tender heart is moved to tears and compassion and obedience. The tough heart may throw a temper-tantrum, a pity-party, disconnect, and deny the Truth. The heart that is tough, bitter, unforgiving, angry and rebellious will react.

We must love people enough to speak the Truth in love—no matter what. Eternity is forever. This life is passing away. Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 24:10-12: “And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and hate one another” (KJV). 

Jesus said, “Blessed is he, whoever shall not be offended in Me” (Matthew 11:6).

“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:12-14). 

Take time to read all of Matthew 24. Remember, even Truth presented in love will offend some people. We must love people enough to offer them everlasting life in Jesus Christ!

PRAY AND ASK GOD FOR SUCCESS….look at what happened with Nehemiah when he prayed and asked God for success. 

Nehemiah 1:10 “They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.”I was cupbearer to the king.

Nehemiah prayed and asked for success…..Then the King sent Nehemiah to Jerusalem where he inspected the walls, built and and repaired them. God’s heart is always for restoration and bridging the gap between man and God. God connects people on purpose for His divine purposes in the earth. Ask God what HE would have you to do with Him. Have a willing heart to partner with God. STEP OUT AND OBEY HIM. Prepare to stand out and stand alone…knowing God is with you. 

God is calling us to bridge the gap between the lost and Him as we share the love of Jesus Christ. Broken bridges are appearing in families, in business, and even in churches. Stay in the Word, read the Word, pray the Word and renew your mind….allow the water of God’s Word to wash away doubt, unbelief, depression, corruption, and every fiery dart the enemy sends. 

I believe that before the end of the age, the world will look at the church and see a family that can be trusted because they walk in love and their word is their bond. The strength of our witness will be determined first by how much we trust God’s Word and then by how much our own word can be trusted. Sometimes the very test (or storm) we are walking through has been totally ordained by God because people will see and witness the power of God to withstand the battle that rages. Reflect on the life of Joseph and remember that God is for us and not against us. Our part is to believe God and choose to do the right thing. Make sure your relationship with God is first priority. Be a God-pleaser, not a man-pleaser. God is more concerned with the inward purity of our hearts…than any outward appearance to man. Be a bridge builder and point people to Jesus. #telltheworldaboutJesus

It’s not the obstacles we face, but how we handle them that count the most. How do we react or respond to them? How we answer that question reveals how Christ-like we have become. It will be revealed in our response to difficulties. Choose to turn adversity into advantage over the enemy through an open door, difficulties into doors of opportunities, crisis into circumstances for winning souls through meeting needs or confronting problems in a way that reveals the love of Jesus. 

We don’t attack people – we attack problems. Keep God’s perspective in all of life. We are not victims – we are victors. 

Choose to turn suffering into service and be a world changer. Tell the world about Jesus! 

Let’s read Phil. 1:12:

“Now I want you to know, Brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.” (NIV)

Paul’s difficulties became doors by which the Gospel made steady advancement. How about you? How about in your life? Do you attack or attract people to Jesus? Do you attack people or turn and align them to the Word of God through loving them?

Do you rise above the problem and know that you are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, or do you stoop to the level of the enemy and engage in a war of words? Do you respond or react? 

Choose your words wisely…and make sure to respond as Jesus would…by depending on the Holy Spirit of God. 

Tell the world about Jesus by the way you live….respond wisely.

God loves you with an everlasting love…and He gave His Son for you and me….

When we understand the high price Jesus paid, we see every person as highly valuable! God wants us to love people back to life!
