THE FAVOR OF GOD
DIVINE FAVOR
“For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12).
The Bible makes it clear for us that the favor of the LORD is like a shield that surrounds and protects the believer on every side. That’s great news my friends! No matter what circumstance you are dealing with and praying through, no matter what sudden storm you find yourself in, you can be confident in God that you are absolutely safe under His protection. He saved Daniel from the den of lions, He parted the Red Sea to allow the Israelites to cross over. The same sea God parted to save the Israelites was used by God to destroy their enemies.
When we cultivate the righteousness of God, His favor surrounds us like a shield. The Bible says, “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion; but his favor is like dew upon the grass” (Proverbs 19:12).
Keep a humble heart and childlike spirit; keep walking with the Lord in His righteousness. Every child of God that walks in His favor brings the rain of His grace and blessings to everyone he/she meets. It’s like a sweet smelling fragrance—like fresh rain on a hot day. *Isaiah 66:2 says, “These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word.”
“Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing” (2 Corinthians 2:14-15).
Keep a pure heart toward the Lord by living in and out of His Holy Word. Listen with your heart. See what God is showing you with spiritual eyes. May the seven-fold spirits of God rest upon you. God wants to use you to bring about restoration and reconciliation. May the spirit of wisdom and love and the spirit of counsel be upon you to speak the Truth in love to all people.
God is still searching throughout the earth to find those whose hearts are fully His (2 Chronicles 16:9). When He finds such people, He will show Himself strong on their behalf, manifesting divine favor in and through them for all the world to see. Let us choose to be such people—lovers of God, and loving people. God created YOU to be a world changer—ambassadors of Jesus Christ to be His heart, hands, and feet to the lost and hurting world around you. You are God’s secret agent—cleverly disguised in whatever sphere of influence you find yourself. Be the change you want to see in the world! YOU ARE A WORLD CHANGER WITH GOD!
God wants to come to you in the most intimate and personal way—to bring healing. He loves you and me.
He wants us healed and made whole so we can step into our God-given destiny—divinely aligned with Him in His purposes in the earth—souls—advancing His Kingdom—and equipped as ambassadors of Christ in our realm of influence….
Jesus was trained in his hometown. People watched him as a carpenter and we all know that the better we know people, the more apt we are to find fault with them. Jesus was a carpenter and the son of a carpenter. Jesus was the son of Mary, and had brothers and sisters.
At first the message of Jesus was received, but then the people took offense. Imagine that! When the people of Nazareth allowed their familiarity with Jesus to breed contempt, they deprived themselves of a great opportunity. Jesus chose to take His message and blessings elsewhere (Mark 6:6).
“But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house” (Mark 6:4 KJV).
We can even judge ourselves unworthy of eternal life and deprive ourselves of blessings we would otherwise receive. (See Acts 13:46).
If you know someone very well or experience something a lot, you may stop respecting them and think you have learned all there is to know. We can learn from anyone and anything around us. God can get our attention in any way He sees fit.
Few of us can live under the microscope of constant attention or criticism. Allow relationships to grow and nurture them. Close relationships will flourish and you will grow closer to one another instead of apart. That’s God’s plan for the family of God.
Familiarity breeds contempt. We live in a world where change is constant. God doesn’t want us to live in a place of contempt—or to get so familiar with someone, that we think we can’t learn anything else from them. A form of pride can rise up that is a trap from the enemy.
God places a restlessness inside us that not only draws us closer to Him, but also moves us to action to be a better person in the world around us.
Someone needs to hear your story. Someone who is about to give up needs to know they are not alone. God wants to move YOU to greatness by partnering WITH HIM. He brings divine alignments for the next assignment.
Familiarity also breeds expectations. People can grow up with a form of entitlement and think the world revolves around them—which results in selfishness. We need discernment from God and eyes to see with a bigger worldview. Everything God calls us to do WITH HIM will advance His Kingdom—pointing people to Jesus and bringing them to the cross.
Anything that draws you away from God and His Word is from the enemy. It is a trap from hell. God made YOU to be great. The only way you will become who God has called YOU to be is to be free set free from the fear of man. It means you may have to step out in some unknown territory. It means you have a desire to obey God—no matter what. When God calls you to do something, it will bless people and offend some.
Jesus made lots of people mad in his own hometown. They listened to him, but he had become ordinary to them. Instead of recognizing Jesus as the Son of God—they went by what they had known and seen in the past. When someone becomes ordinary to us, we can fall for the trap of judging by past experience rather than fully trusting God with the outcome.
With all the radical changes across this nation, and the Bible being fulfilled before our eyes, we can see that we are closer than ever before to the return of Jesus Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, with a steadfastness of heart, and a sold-out mindset that does not budge off of God’s Word. Souls are at stake. Step out and be great with God.
Share the Good News of Jesus Christ to open the door for other people to have an encounter with the Living God. The Holy Spirit empowers us to engage the world around us with boldness and a heart on fire for His passion—souls
Greatness implies a deviation from the norm. If God is calling you to do something with Him, it will take a radical step of obedience—one of stepping out—facing possible rejection, mocking, and some will hear and come to know Jesus. Wipe the dust off your feet—and keep moving forward being led by the Holy Spirit of God. Tell the world about Jesus—He is coming back soon. God created you to be uncommon, to do what others are not willing to do, to stand out in the crowd–to be a world changer!
Love,
Deborah

REJECTED NO MORE..”He has made us accepted in the Beloved”
Are you feeling rejected, your emotions going off the charts, assuming, and maybe even panicked over some situation in your life? Does your heart feel broken? Or, do you know someone who has a broken heart? When we put our problems in God’s hands, He put His peace in our hearts.
God has made a way to heal every place that hurts. He has made a way to heal your wounds of rejection and bring you into acceptance with Him. The steps to being healed from rejection are simple, but not always easy in life. You can succeed as you partner with the Holy Spirit of God.
The Bible says: He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV).
Many have walked in and out of toxic and abusive relationships….from marriage to even business. Almost every person has experienced some form of rejection at one time or another. Your date didn’t show up, you were snubbed by a friend, you didn’t make it on the team or the school play, you were not accepted at the college of your choice, you didn’t get the position you thought you should have gotten, to a spouse walking out for another person and the pain of divorce. Rejection can be simply put as the sense of being unwanted and unloved. Rejection can leave a person feeling empty….and trying to fill a void that only God can fill.
Closely related to rejection are the wounds of shame and betrayal. A leader or friend gossips and shares a confidence saying it’s called prayer to trying to harm you on purpose. Society is suffering from a progressive breakdown of interpersonal relationships, lack of respect and showing honor.
Because God wants to use you as a world changer, the devil tries to emotionally cripple every person at a young age so they do not step into their God-given destiny. Rejection can be paralyzing if we don’t have spiritual eyesight. When our focus is on the world and not on God, we start to live in darkness. Satan will set you up to be upset…and use the very people you least expect.
Satan is afraid of what you can become in Jesus Christ. So listen up…the people who have walked through hell on earth and been the lowest often end up the highest in God. The Scriptures tell us, “He who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:14). God wants to use you to advance His Kingdom. Run to God and receive healing…and reach out a helping hand to others who are walking in pain. Both our ability and inclination to love God and other people spring from the grasp and understanding of His great love for us. Ask God to give you a heart like His….to see what He sees, feel what He feels….and a desire to be an extension of His heart to all you meet.
God equips us and empowers us to comfort those where we have been comforted. If you truly knew the gift of God—His great love for you—you would be enthralled by Him.
There is a beautiful verse in the Bible that describes the amazing love of Jesus Christ for people….for you reading this now:
“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them…” (Matthew 9:36a NKJV).
The Greek word translated “compassion” implies a forceful, physical reaction in a person’s body in the abdominal area. It is a reaction so strong that it demands a response. A person who is moved by compassion has to do something. A person who is “moved with compassion” cannot sit on the sidelines and only observe. They are constrained by the love of God and moved by compassion to do something. Why was Jesus so moved?
“….because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd” (Matthew 9:36b NKJV).
If this is how you feel…..stressed, angry, fearful, anxious, burdened down, weary, harried, confused, and perplexed….Jesus sees you….just as He saw the multitudes. Jesus has compassion for you and He is longing to heal every place that hurts.
One of the most common roots of all personal problems is rejection. A marriage fails and one or both spouses experience rejection. Children are left feeling the wounds of abandonment. I remember clearly walking with my daddy and can still feel my hand in his as we walked when I was a child up the mountain. Just a few years ago, I remember laying my head on his chest on a few occasions as we stayed with him for the last 17 days of his precious life…with his hand on mine and my sister’s heads. We just wanted to cherish every minute with our father.
We were surrounded by family, friends, and people that God used to encourage us. Our wonderful God-fearing mother never left our father’s side…she is a gift from God. Family is a gift from God! Cherish the people in your life.
There is no greater feeling of security than that of a father…being in his arms…and climbing up in his lap with your head resting on his strong chest….it feels secure. God designed every person to crave this kind of security. A child can never truly be fulfilled, satisfied, or secure without parental love—especially love from a father. God is our perfect Heavenly Father….
The picture of broken families and rejection is rampant. Children grow up to be adult children with wounds of rejection. Sometimes there is the added pain of betrayed trust…and always great heartache.
With the insurmountable pressures of life and the added pressures of breakup, most people have experienced some form of rejection. God sees everything and He foresaw this end-time crisis of broken relationships when He gave this promise in Scripture in the book of Malachi:
“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse” (Malachi 4:5-6).
For those who will turn to God through Jesus, there is healing.
“He has made us accepted in the Beloved” (Ephesians 1:6 NKJV)—Jesus.
