SEX, FAMILY, AND LIES
People prepare for weddings, funerals, the arrival of a new baby, college, events, vacation, interviews for a new position, etc., but nobody prepares for cancer. It hits the newborn baby, the toddler, the child, teenager, your sibling, your best friend, adults and elderly. Then, all of a sudden, every moment becomes precious in life. Life is cut short—and people are left with the pain and heartache from that last wrong word, the loss of a loved one, and the emptiness that is left behind long after the funeral. Some are left with fond memories they have built together and peace if they know the person is in Heaven with God through salvation.
Grief is a process—and we must walk through it with God and loved ones. The worst thing any of us can do is to isolate ourselves. That’s where the enemy has a field day with the mind…and will attack in all kinds of ways. It is imperative to renew the mind in God’s Word and pray in order to recognize the lies of the enemy.
People prepare in great detail for the wedding day—so that every single thing is handled. From properly addressed invitations, to rehearsal dinners, flowers, venue arrangements, to cakes and dresses, “Thank You” notes, etc., —but nobody prepares for affairs, adultery, separation and divorce that destroys whole families.
People plan to build a family. While some couples can’t have children—they choose to adopt. People don’t plan to destroy their own family. I don’t believe for one moment that anyone in their right mind prepares to bring about destruction on purpose.
Sex was created by God for man. He created us to be fruitful and to multiply. God loves family.
Satan twists, thwarts, and threatens all mankind with his lies because he knows his time is short. He cannot create—so he imitates and thwarts to bring about death, despair, discord, disease, division, and destruction—through wrong soul ties. He is the author of confusion!
We live in a time where there is a war on the Truth. Truth always outweighs fact. In the end, Truth—the Word of God—will stand. Lies, deception, wars of words, and corruption in media is at an all-time high BUT GOD’S WORD STANDS FOREVER. He reveals all hidden truth. The Bible says, “The Holy Spirit reveals all hidden truth and shows us things to come.” God said it—that settles it!
People have hopes and dreams and plans. God is good. He does good and wants to do good. He is a good Father. He gave us His Son Jesus and His Word to guide us through this life, and to prepare us here on earth for eternity. God has a good plan for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). He says, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you seek Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). The Lord wants us, His creation, to seek Him. He is not hiding out—but we only treasure what we seek. Treasure your destiny enough to step out of drama (devil racing after my assignment). Treasure family and friends. Life is not promised for tomorrow. You only get one life here—so live it pleasing God and glorifying Him by your actions!
Family doesn’t simply matter—it is all that matters. There is one family you must make sure you are in before it’s too late—that’s the FAMILY OF GOD. If you are breathing, it is not too late to call upon the Name of JESUS! Jesus is interceding for us that our faith will not fail. While He is interceding for us, we are given the gift of prayer and power in prayer.
Use your God-given authority today to decree and declare God’s Word—His Promises—over your life. Speak life over your family, friends, and bless your enemies. For if they knew the gift of God, if they knew they were blinded by sin, if they knew that all that matters is family and eternity, they would turn from their sin and repent. May I ask you this question: Have you prepared for eternity? Choose to walk in the light!
Pray with me that the eyes of all lost and hurting family, friends, and enemies would be opened and hearts healed NOW IN JESUS’ NAME—let there be light. May the eyes of their understanding be enlightened. Let today be the day of salvation. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. Now, take time to praise HIM!
Love,
Deborah

REJECTED NO MORE..”He has made us accepted in the Beloved”
Are you feeling rejected, your emotions going off the charts, assuming, and maybe even panicked over some situation in your life? Does your heart feel broken? Or, do you know someone who has a broken heart? When we put our problems in God’s hands, He put His peace in our hearts.
God has made a way to heal every place that hurts. He has made a way to heal your wounds of rejection and bring you into acceptance with Him. The steps to being healed from rejection are simple, but not always easy in life. You can succeed as you partner with the Holy Spirit of God.
The Bible says: He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV).
Many have walked in and out of toxic and abusive relationships….from marriage to even business. Almost every person has experienced some form of rejection at one time or another. Your date didn’t show up, you were snubbed by a friend, you didn’t make it on the team or the school play, you were not accepted at the college of your choice, you didn’t get the position you thought you should have gotten, to a spouse walking out for another person and the pain of divorce. Rejection can be simply put as the sense of being unwanted and unloved. Rejection can leave a person feeling empty….and trying to fill a void that only God can fill.
Closely related to rejection are the wounds of shame and betrayal. A leader or friend gossips and shares a confidence saying it’s called prayer to trying to harm you on purpose. Society is suffering from a progressive breakdown of interpersonal relationships, lack of respect and showing honor.
Because God wants to use you as a world changer, the devil tries to emotionally cripple every person at a young age so they do not step into their God-given destiny. Rejection can be paralyzing if we don’t have spiritual eyesight. When our focus is on the world and not on God, we start to live in darkness. Satan will set you up to be upset…and use the very people you least expect.
Satan is afraid of what you can become in Jesus Christ. So listen up…the people who have walked through hell on earth and been the lowest often end up the highest in God. The Scriptures tell us, “He who humbles himself will be exalted” (Luke 18:14). God wants to use you to advance His Kingdom. Run to God and receive healing…and reach out a helping hand to others who are walking in pain. Both our ability and inclination to love God and other people spring from the grasp and understanding of His great love for us. Ask God to give you a heart like His….to see what He sees, feel what He feels….and a desire to be an extension of His heart to all you meet.
God equips us and empowers us to comfort those where we have been comforted. If you truly knew the gift of God—His great love for you—you would be enthralled by Him.
There is a beautiful verse in the Bible that describes the amazing love of Jesus Christ for people….for you reading this now:
“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them…” (Matthew 9:36a NKJV).
The Greek word translated “compassion” implies a forceful, physical reaction in a person’s body in the abdominal area. It is a reaction so strong that it demands a response. A person who is moved by compassion has to do something. A person who is “moved with compassion” cannot sit on the sidelines and only observe. They are constrained by the love of God and moved by compassion to do something. Why was Jesus so moved?
“….because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd” (Matthew 9:36b NKJV).
If this is how you feel…..stressed, angry, fearful, anxious, burdened down, weary, harried, confused, and perplexed….Jesus sees you….just as He saw the multitudes. Jesus has compassion for you and He is longing to heal every place that hurts.
One of the most common roots of all personal problems is rejection. A marriage fails and one or both spouses experience rejection. Children are left feeling the wounds of abandonment. I remember clearly walking with my daddy and can still feel my hand in his as we walked when I was a child up the mountain. Just a few years ago, I remember laying my head on his chest on a few occasions as we stayed with him for the last 17 days of his precious life…with his hand on mine and my sister’s heads. We just wanted to cherish every minute with our father.
We were surrounded by family, friends, and people that God used to encourage us. Our wonderful God-fearing mother never left our father’s side…she is a gift from God. Family is a gift from God! Cherish the people in your life.
There is no greater feeling of security than that of a father…being in his arms…and climbing up in his lap with your head resting on his strong chest….it feels secure. God designed every person to crave this kind of security. A child can never truly be fulfilled, satisfied, or secure without parental love—especially love from a father. God is our perfect Heavenly Father….
The picture of broken families and rejection is rampant. Children grow up to be adult children with wounds of rejection. Sometimes there is the added pain of betrayed trust…and always great heartache.
With the insurmountable pressures of life and the added pressures of breakup, most people have experienced some form of rejection. God sees everything and He foresaw this end-time crisis of broken relationships when He gave this promise in Scripture in the book of Malachi:
“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.
He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse” (Malachi 4:5-6).
For those who will turn to God through Jesus, there is healing.

STAND FIRM
Stand firm in Christ. Scripture: Isaiah 52:7; Romans 10:15
It’s Christmas time, but no time to compromise. It’s really Christmas 365 days a year to the believer. We have the gift of Jesus and the power of standing on His Word. We must stay in peace to keep our walk with the Lord pure and holy. And learn to stand in agreement with GOD in prayer. We must heed the warnings of God however He sends them…through a check in our spirit, an uneasiness or burden we sense, a dream, vision, through His Word, or voice. Never ignore the warnings and promptings from God. Keep your heart pure and your feet shod with the gospel of peace at all times so you can hear the Voice of God.
When was the last time you heard a message about feet? You might be reminded of the time in Scripture when Jesus washed the feet of His own disciples. Some of you might think of walking on sand in the heat of the day and coming in to a refreshing bath. Some of you might be thinking about coming in from a ski trip out in the snow—with your feet by a fire and a cup of hot chocolate.
The Apostle Paul did not avoid the subject of feet. He made feet a focal point of one of his most powerful messages. We must learn to stay in peace…with our feet shod with the gospel of peace, at all times. We must not allow the wind and waves of life to get inside us…no matter what we are facing in life. No matter what battle is raging, what attack has happened, or what you are seeing all around you, don’t allow the raging seas to get inside your heart. Keep your eyes focused on Jesus and don’t allow the enemy to abort God’s plan for your life. Look at what Scripture says about standing firm.
You can read about it in Ephesians 6:10-18—about the armor of God. Let’s take a closer look.
The Bile says it four times in four verses (verses 11-14 NIV), Paul declares that the armor’s purpose is to help us “stand,” “stand against the devil’s schemes,” “stand [our] ground,” and “stand firm.” Armor would be incomplete without shoes. Paul identified this as “the preparation of the gospel of peace” (verse 15). Paul knew that we would need to be equipped and have a firm foundation in Christ to face opposition. And you get rest assured, if you are still breathing, you will face opposition.
The Roman soldier’s sandals had a long spike at the heel of the shoe. The purpose was to allow the warrior to plant his feet firmly in the ground when an opponent approached. The soldier would have an obvious advantage with his feet secured in the ground. He would be able to stand in the face of opposition and not be moved. This part of his uniform enabled him to keep his footing even in the face of the enemy and danger.
That is precisely what our Father God wants for every one of His children today: the ability to stand firm in the face of troubles and opposition. This is possible when we plant our feet on a firm foundation—the foundation of faith in Jesus Christ—the Solid Rock on which we stand. That’s what happens when we are in a life or death situation, we can cry out to God for help. We know WHO to turn to when problems arise because we know WHO we are IN CHRIST and we belong to HIM. We must learn to live by faith.
Ask yourself this question: “Is my faith well grounded?”
With the evil that has escalated across America and the unrest across the nations, it is imperative that we are secure in Christ and learn to stand firm in Him. We are also to be identified by the fruit of our lives—the way we act. (See Luke 6:44 and Matthew 7:16). The Holy Spirit has graciously given us love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Galatians 5:22-23). When we are faced with extreme adverse circumstances, any of us can act inappropriately. Often times our fruit can be anger, conflict, sorrow, defensiveness, harshness, impatience, and even rudeness. We could say it may be anything but self-control. Oh, and let’s not get in the seat of judgment and pretend to know how it feels to walk through a crisis of one sort or another. You really don’t know how you would respond or react till you walk in the same situation. So ZIP IT now….God doesn’t call us to be jury and judge. We are called to pray for one another.
We also must not pretend the enemy does not exist…like an unwise person who walks up on a python and thinks it is okay to play with it. We are not called to ignore the enemy or his tactics. We must know that the deceiver can use our wounds from the past, agreements we have made, weaknesses in our flesh, and the lies we have believed of the enemy to keep us locked in a negative cycle of sinful behavior and wrong choices.
I can assure you that if you have any knowledge of God at all, when faced with a crisis, most people will call upon God. Even America called on God in prayer right after September 11th…and churches were filled to overflow for about three weeks. Then life went back to what the world thought was normal. But it is anything but normal.
We must seek godly counsel and wisdom, along with prayer and ministry to find lasting help. For immediate help, prayer is the first thing we must do. No matter if you personally believe it or not, Satan is real and so are his evil tactics. He uses a hierarchy of fallen angels for his evil purposes because he doesn’t have the authority, power, and abilities of God. Satan is not omnipresent. And don’t think Christians cannot be harassed, oppressed, or afflicted. If you think that way—you are already deceived.
The enemy comes like a roaring lion—seeking those he may devour. So what can we do when it is obvious that we are being attacked? What can we do when we are acting out in ways that are not in our character as a born-again believer of Jesus Christ? Get on our knees in prayer—cry out to God for help.
Pray Psalm 91 and Psalm 59. Say them out loud. The spoken Word of God cannot return void. What else can we do? Put on the armor of God. (See Ephesians 6:11-18) The shield of faith, the helmet of salvation that guards our mind, will and emotions, shoes of peace, and the belt of truth are defensive weapons. The Word of God is an offensive weapon. We need to stay close to God…read His Word and study the Bible on a daily basis. Our other offensive weapon is prayer. Choose to cultivate a life of prayer that goes far beyond praying over meals and crying out to God only in a crisis. Talk to God all day long. When you wake up in the night time, tell the LORD that you love Him. Talk to Him throughout your day. Each day of life is a gift from our Father God.
The Bible and prayer will do more to help show the true fruit of who we are than anything else we can do in this life. We must ask God to help us cast aside any of the rotten fruit of Satan and enjoy the precious fruits of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Choose to enjoy Christmas—365 days a year. Choose to enjoy family and friends. Make wise choices and stand firm—planted on the solid Rock—Jesus Christ.
