CHOOSE THE PROMISES OF GOD OVER THE PLANS OF THE ENEMY!
The Promises of God are for you and for me. But they are conditional upon our obedience to His Word. It is written in the Word of God: “Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of the God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)
God has a good plan for YOUR life and for my life. We must be aware that Satan does as well—we must choose one way or the other. I choose God’s plan for my life!
If you are struggling in any area, the enemy knows it and he comes to steal, kill and destroy. You might be struggling in your marriage and Satan knows just how and when to send a person into your life to tempt to derail you and your entire family.
Let me give you a few examples of a trap: If you are struggling in your marriage, God will never send a person into your life to tell you how wonderful you are, to start an affair on your mate, or to make you think that someone else is a better option than your spouse. But Satan will do just that.
Just before breakthrough and blessing, the enemy sends fiery darts to your mind to sabotage relationships, your career, your family, your life. He pushes and shoves. He will devise schemes to ensnare you to destroy your future.
The Holy Spirit of God leads and directs to protect you and for your best life.
It is imperative to read the Bible to know what is says about everything in life. The answer to every problem you will ever face is found in the Word of God.
With the added stress of Covid-19 and the pressures of life, all people have experienced a new level of stress. Pressures in the home, on the job, from grocery shopping to funerals & to church, from the hospital to any place of business. People are struggling with fear and stress, overwhelmed with day to day activities. Many people are struggling in marriage, family, relationships, and many are genuinely struggling and hurting in all walks of life from depression, to anger, rage, and fear of their future.
God wants us to cleanse ourselves—to come apart—and spend time with Him. To pray and seek His face. God has a good plan for every person. God wants to spend ETERNITY with YOU! He wants you to be saved and set free.
I love what Spurgeon said: “I suppose that, the nearer we get to heaven, the more conscious we shall be of our imperfections. The more light we get, the more we discover our own darkness. That which is scarcely accounted sin by some men, will be a grievous defilement to a tender conscience. It is not that we are greater sinners as we grow older, but that we have a finer sensibility of sin, and see that to be sin which we winked at in the days of our ignorance.” (Spurgeon)
Paul wrote about a need to separate from worldly influences so that we can live a close walk with God.
The commandment to come out from among them and be separate (2 Corinthians 6:17) is coupled with a promise: I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters (2 Corinthians 6:18).
If we choose to separate ourselves from worldly thinking and acting, we are promised a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father God. Choose to live a life led by the Holy Spirit of God, hearing Him and obeying quickly—rather than reacting in the flesh.
Fill your heart and mind with the Word of God. Listen to biblically based teaching. Pray and worship and read good books as the Holy Spirit leads you. I pray the Word of God becomes part of the very fabric of your being—so that when temptation or trials come, you will respond with the Word of God and peace will flood your being, fully knowing you have done the right thing!
God loves YOU with an everlasting love!
HIS love and mine,
Deborah
