Guidance
When searching for God’s will or direction in your life regarding a decision you are facing or a certain aspect of your life, rest assured that God has a plan and purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11), a master plan. If you seek Him prior to making a decision instead of running ahead without His direction, God will direct your path and meet your needs. The Bible instructs us to seek God in all our ways and not to lean on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Anxiety and stress occur when you rely on your individual strength rather than on God and His Word. In most cases, when anxious you allow your human nature to convince or persuade you that God is unable to handle the situation. The Bible instructs us to cast our cares upon Him for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Scriptural Guidelines
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).
“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
Guilt
When we experience the feeling of guilt, this is one of God’s ways he may use to warn us that something is not quite right in our life. We may be feeling this because we need to repent and turn away from a sin in our life so God can cleanse and forgive us. With repentance, comes the fresh presence of the Holy Spirit assuring us we are quilt-free.
If you are guilty of doing something wrong, or not stating the facts quite clearly in a given situation, or even perhaps you have broken God’s law; you can receive mercy and forgiveness by accepting salvation and forgiveness offered though Christ Jesus. (1Timothy 1:13-16). If you are a born-again Christian and you are experiencing some feeling of guilt, it may be conviction from the Holy Spirit to lead you to repentance.
You may also be feeling shame because of something that was done that makes you feel somewhat guilty. Perhaps you are blaming yourself for something that has or has not happened and you feel responsible. In any of these cases, there is hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
What Scripture Says
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our
Holy Spirit Baptism
A study of the believers in the book of Acts reveals that after they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they spoke with boldness about Christ (were given the power to witness), they overcame great obstacles and difficulties and they worked miracles of healing and deliverance. Jesus Christ wants to fill you with His Holy Spirit so that His power can be released in and through your life as the Father has promised to all believers (Joel 2:28-29 and Acts 2:16-18). The Holy Spirit will lead and guide you to a full, purposeful, and rewarding life in Jesus Christ.
When you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, all the blessings and gifts of the Holy Spirit are available to you (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:1-7).
It is the Holy Spirit who empowers you to be a witness with signs following (Mark 16:20; Acts 1:8; John 14:12; 16:8, 13-15).
What Scriptures Says
“And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows him;
